23 Years in the technology industry! That's like 161 years old to normal businesses! Yes the computer industry is a here today gone tomorrow kind of business. Always has been since it started. Technology changes fast, and what was once needed is no longer needed. Skills change, needs changes, and it does so rapidly in the technology industry.
Not sure why, but seems like more and more our door is being darkened by folks looking for repair for their Apple products. Turns out that's a good thing because we actually fix it for them. When I take a look at what we do here...pc's, laptops, servers, macs, data recovery, networks, security....what's next?
Everyone likes a freebie, now here's a quick little bit of info that might help you and your friends or office mates communicate insto presto via one of the most versatile instant message programs out there. It's called Trillian. This software can be used to connect with users who have accounts on all platforms. So your friends don't have to open up a hotmail account to use it.
Ok, now that the shake up and shake out of the war between AMD and Intel is finally over and Apple has surged in market share in the consumer computer world. What's next? Well nobody can predict the future but that's not going to stop me from taking a stab at it anyways.
It's a dog eat dog world out there, and Best Buy is wareing a meat skirt! So what's going on there? Well, I'll give you some real street level insights:
Anyone using a smart phone should be on high alert! Virus attacks on PC's are down, because hackers have a new big fat easy target. YOU ON YOUR CELL PHONE! The open application platforms have enabled hackers the ability to open a pandoras box of personal security on your cell phone. Hackers can now get your phone number, email, phone model, make, serial number, and ANY OTHER INFORMATION YOU GIVE THEM! Cell phone applications that are being downloaded at an alarming rate are not necassarily secure.

Call on this now, because I've never seen slightly used Mac's before and I don't know how long they will last. Likely not very long.
Yesterday Apple reported that a Trojan Virus outbreak infected over 500,000 users. The Flashback Trojan outbreak has been one of the most prolific virus outbreaks for the Mac's to date. This virus is delivered in stealth mode and the user is not prompted to do anything in order to get it. It is delivered using a Java update that works in the background simply while you are logged into the internet and does not require you to click on anything in order to get it.
Recently I've gotten some scrutiny for being a little too harsh on Apple products. Don't get me wrong, I'm not an Apple hater at all. I'm simply "technology agnostic". I only care about getting the best quality at the lowest price. So that being said I need to let people know that YES WE DO work on Apple products. MacBooks, MacPros, IMac, MacBook Air, and Ipads. We are also known to sell some slightly used versions of all of these.
Recently the CEO of Apple stated that we are now in a "post-PC era". Really? For stockholders of Apple, I'd take notice of such statements. If he truly believes that, it shows that he is divorced from reality and now living in Appleland! That, if you were wondering, is located just down the street from Wonderland.
So, let me lay out the things that we're not going to get out of the Ipad or the Slates. You need to know this in the event you are going to buy one.
